Meet the Owner
Welcome to my little world where I create and design anything from quilting to crocheting, from keepsakes to home decor. I started sewing when I was in high school and have been sewing, creating and crafting ever since. You will always find me participating in craft shows and markets. I have been an Entrepeneur in my own talents and passion and a Paralegal in my professional career.
I have sold on Ebay and on my own website since the late 90's and on Etsy when it was introduced.
I focused mostly on sewn crafts, such as pillows, cosmetic bags, tote bags, etc. Pincushions are always fun to create and has led me to my own design pattern which I still create and sell.
I have also designed my own self sitting cat pattern as well. It has been a best seller on Etsy.
Both of these items will be offered here soon.
In 2003, I created my first quilt to be entered into the Mancuso Quilt Show.
The fabric was purchased in Lancaster, PA, one of my favorite go to places to shop for fabric.
In 2004 and 2005, I was the New Jersey state coordinator of the Home of the Brave Quilt Project.
We made and distributed reproduction civil war quilts to the families of our fallen heroes in the Iraq/Afghanistan war.
The project was founded by Donald Beld of the Citrus Belt Quilters (southern California, USA) and was started in July 2004.
I have had my work featured in many magazines with my biggest feature being in Romantic Homes magazine in 2013.
The editor reached out to me to feature my wedding invitation pillow and personalized name pillow as well. I was able to write my own article and to receive photo credit as well. Much of my work was created in the shabby chic style and my business and website reflected that style.
I continued to create and sell on-line, and in 2020, my t shirt quilt and memory bear business took off phenomenally. I am grateful for my very first customer that I created a t shirt quilt for. By word of mouth, a successful business developed and continues to this day.
We moved to TN in 2022, and I am ever so grateful for my clients who continue to work with me from Jersey and PA.
In 2023, I made a Quilt of Valor for my cousin, Colonel Bruce Protesto, United States Army. The quilt is made with signature blocks for all his siblings to sign. I am so proud to have made this quilt for Bruce Protesto, my cousin who we are all proud of and ever so thankful for his service. God bless you, Bruce.
Since moving to the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, I have been participating in farmers markets and crafts shows alike. I am also a member of Quilts for Kids since 2023 with a wonderful group of women.
Can't think of a better place to share this quilt as one of my all-time favorites. A big thank you goes out to Donna for inspiring me to create it. Can't wait to post a photo of her quilt here as well!
Last April I decided to improve my crochet skills and start to make Amigurumi, something I really enjoy doing. I now sell my creations at local markets as well as on my site here. I am also improving my skills with making granny square Afghans and baby blankets.
More to come...
